ALUMNI GV 2020/ALUMNI AWARD / March 29, 2020

Again a year is over! Therefore we conducted again the annual GV of the Alumni Biomedical Sciences. This year, it was a special GV because of many reasons:

1. A new board was elected by the attendees: Andrea Karolin, Chantal Bachmann and Selianne Graf were chosen to be part of the new board. We wish them a fruitful start and all the best for the future! Silvia Erni, Noelle Dommann and Mirjam Zünd resigned from their functions.

2. Because of the Corona virus pandemic, the diploma celebration for the master students did not take place. Therefore, we handed over the Alumni Award for the best master thesis to Fabienne Birrer for ther work entitled “The LIM protein Ajuba promotes a metastatic phenotype in colon cancer cells”. She performed her work in the Visceral Surgery and Medicine Lab of Prof. Dr. Deborah Stroka. We would like to congratulate her again for her thesis and wish her the best for her scientific career.

Besides, we would like to congratulate all the successful Master Students for finishing their studies!
